The 1st RIST International Symposium

The first international symposium organized by RIST, The 1st RIST International Symposium “Chemistry and Physics of Coordination Nanosheet”, was held at Morito Memorial Hall in Kagurazaka Campus, Tokyo University of Science from May 20 to May 22, 2024. The symposium ended successfully with 41 attendees including 10 attendees from overseas.

The symposium featured 21 presentations, including invited lectures by researchers leading the research on synthesis and applications in catalysts, energy materials, and devices of Coordination Nanosheets, which are two-dimensional materials composed of metal complexes, and oral presentations by young researchers and students conducting the related research. Active discussion based on multiple scientific knowledge among researchers from various countries produced expectations of further development of Coordination Nanosheet research. They made the symposium fruitful contributing to the globalization of Tokyo University of Science and RIST and promoting them as international research hubs.
